  • Oh, What A Beautiful Morning!!!

What a beautiful day it is....I think it is supposed to get up to 72 degrees today.  My sister Jennifer and her husband Dale are coming in just a few hours so we are excited about that!  We are having a birthday party for Jackson...he turned one on Wednesday.  I can't believe my baby is one!!  It's amazing how fast they grow in the first couple of years.   We actually left him with a baby sitter on the eve of his birthday....what bad parents we are.  I guess he doesn't know any better yet anyway.  Josh and I went to Manhatten to this little restraurant/lounge type place.  He plays guitar with a co-worker at school and somehow this guy got them in to play and sing.  Some of the other teachers from school came and some friends from church....was quite interesting.  Of course my husband stole the show with his voice.....I am so proud of him! Anyway I need to get busy....I smell my boy......

  • Hi everybody, I am not doing so good with updating but then again not to much has been happening.  I did get a little side job the past few weeks, the flower shop that I used to work for makes wreaths and other things for Christmas so they are allowing me to do some of that work at home.  The pay is.....little....but it is still money and I can work whenever I want.  Maybe I can buy my husband a Christmas gift that he doesn't have to pay for!!!   A digital camera would be nice as well as this and this and this.  You know, as I get older and older (ha ha) I am beginning to realize that things don't make you happy for very long.  Has anyone else found that out?  Is that a sign of maturity?.....I hope.

Last night I scanned about 9 pictures to post on here and I cannot get them on here...so maddening.  Can anyone tell me how?  I even payed for Xanga premium.

    Have a good Sunday evening.

  • Happy Fall everybody!  I think that Fall is my favorite time of the year....especially in the morning.  Jackson and I pack the stroller down the steps just about every morning to go on our walk.  He likes to look at the birds and dogs and smiles at anybody that will look at him.  At the end of walk he is rewarded with a swing ride....sometimes.  After that we start our day.....he sleeps, eats and makes messes.  Today I gave the apartment a good cleaning...it surely did need it.  I think I will sleep good tonight!!

Does anybody have any ideas how a stay-at-home-mom can earn some extra moolah?  I sorta looked into medical billing but you have to do schooling....which I am not sure I want to do in this stage of my life.  It is my dream to be a nurse sometime but....until then?  I do love to be the primary caregiver to my sweet boy and hopefully more (sweet boys?) someday.

It looks like my brother Kenny might be moving here sometime in the near future to work with Choice Books.  It will be so neat for Jackson to have an uncle two doors down!  It will also be a blessing to have a family member close by for me....that is still something that I have a hard time with.  I miss my family alot.

If anybody is into some good disscussions I recommend MennoDiscuss.com.

I think my husband makes some pretty good points.

    Have a good week-end

    Aren't his legs soooo lovable....mmmm

  • Baby Jackson's favorite pastime....swinging in the park.  We are having beautiful fall weather.

  • I am about to attempt scrapbooking......does anyone have any good ideas about how to start?  My pictures are piled up and messed up like crazy....my little boy likes to put them in his mouth too.  I got all my stuff out today but it is still sitting on the dining room table because...sigh...it looks like toooo big of a job.

Jackson and I went shopping this afternoon and I decided to go in one of those little photo booths to take a mommy and son picture....I wish I could figure out how to put it on here.  With each picture he got more and more scared and his eyes got bigger and bigger.  He is so dear.

    good day

  • Wow!  It's been a long time since I have done this.  We had a great summer traveling here and there and everywhere....had lots of fun with the family in PA, VA, and IN.  Vacation is now over and real life begins again.

Jackson has become quite the little boy, over the summer he learned to become very flexible and sleep wherever his mom and dad took him.  He is also walking around furniture, seems to be repeating sounds and maybe even some words (or is that only my imagination), learning the meaning of NO (how many times in a day do i say that word), and various other things.  I won't bore the ones who don't have kids yet.

Josh is back to school....very first day today.  He was chosen to teach some advanced placement kids this year so that means more work for him but also a good opportunity.

Tonya is going to do what today.......?  For starters she needs to go out and take a long walk in this beautiful fallish weather to melt away those extra lbs. from summer vacation.  Oh if it was that easy!!!  I will also do all my motherly and wifely duties....change diapers, clean up the house, make food, read, post on xanga =),  etc.....oh i love not going to a job every day!!!  For those of you who do...have a good day.
