  • We are back after a long three weeks.  We just arrived back in the city and found out that Josh's grandpa Fox died....so off we went again.  It was a good time for the most part though it is always good to come back home again!

Josh and I have been organizing our apartment in between trips.  It has been alot of work but very rewarding in the end.  It's fun to come upon old letters and cards and other "stuff".  He is off for the summer so it is very nice and handy to have him around.  He does still have to do alot of planning, reading, etc...for the upcoming school year.

I received an invitation to my 10 year high school reunion.....wow, time sure does fly!  It makes me feel kinda old!!!!

Well, I must get my day started.

  • God has been opening my eyes to some areas in my life that really need help!  Pray for me as i work through issues that have been brought to my attention.  It hurts like crazy sometimes and I feel like giving up but I know that is not the answer.  Why is it so hard to be content when we live in a land of plenty?  Why is it so much easier for me to be negative than positive? Why did we have to get nasty little bugs in our apartment that cost alot of money to get rid of?  Why, why, why?

On the positive side.....I have a beautiful baby boy, a loving husband that cares and provides for me, a family that loves God, friends that care and listen, food, an apartment, clothing, good health, freedom and on and on.

    Pray for me,

  • well well, it has been a good week-end for the most part.  saturday morning my husband gave me some "time off" so i went to the flea market for a few hours and found some good bargains.....a wonderful sweet pineapple, skirt, shirt, and some more good fruit.  after i got home we went to rockaway beach for a couple of hours.  jackson seems to really like the outdoors so he was a good little boy for his parents.  he even got a little sun on his little white nose. =)

sunday was a good day at FOJMC, we had an ordination, a baby dedication and a carry-in meal.  they are the best carry-ins around!!!!  all kinds of good rice and chicken and curry.  in the eve we went up to highland park for awhile to see the sights and sounds of the city.  it's puerto rican day today so it's quite lively with the all the parties, flags and music.....it really is quite interesting to observe their enthusiasm!  some days i really like the city and other days i don't.  today was good!

i hope everyone is going to be ok in the arizona group!  i have had food poisoning before and you feel like you could die!  our prayers are with you!

    good night!

  • hi everybody,

what a week it has been!  jackson has a nasty cold so he has been a fussy baby to say the least.  so.....basically i have been holding him and wiping his nose.  quite honestly his momma has been "fussy" also!  hopefully he will be back to his normal self soon.

josh had started a christian club at his school this past year and they were going to have an "end of the year banquet" this coming friday night.  well, they had everything pretty well planned out and organized when  the assistant principal suddenly canceled it because of some issues that no one informed josh of.  he was very dissapointed as well as the students.  pray that the christian club will continue next year and that they could have their banquet.  it seems that anything "christian" is looked down on at the school.

    have a great week-end

  • another day in the city.  life has been rather uneventful the last couple of days.  i look forward to the week-ends cause my husband gets to be here!!  i think it's supposed to be fairly warm on saturday so maybe we can head out to the beach for awhile.  jackson loves to be outside but we do have to be careful that he doesn't burn his pearly white soft baby skin.   i was reading in a baby magazine that back around 50 years ago they advised their readers to oil up the babies so that they would turn a nice bronze color.  can you imagine!  i think that was in the "worst advice" column.

josh invited a couple of students to church on sunday and then they are coming here for lunch.  pray that they could see JESUS in us and our home!

here is a pic of my two favorite men! aren't they cuties!!

    love to all, tonya

  • we are back in the city after a refreshing(?)  week-end by the beautiful delaware beaches. why do you feel more tired after a vacation?   the crew consisted of josh, jackson, me, jeanna fox, chris, melody and garrett martin, merlin & christy ginder and their foster kids luis and niaxa.

one thing i discovered is that mommies never really go on vacation.  that's ok.....thank you mom for all the effort and time you put into my life!  children are really a blessing from the Lord.

food was plentiful to say the least so that means DIET tomorrow!   i hate em'.

saturday night we tried to go crabbing but not with  much success...maybe next year.

    have a good one

  • thanks to everyone that responded to me, now i feel like i know how to do this!   it's a cold rainy day here in the city, sometimes it's hard for me to rise above my circumstances on days like this.  we are going to the beach in delaware this week-end so hopefully the sunshine will peek through by then.  well, my baby has some needs at this time so i shall go. have a sunshiny day!

  • hey, i am new on here.  just checking to see if i know how to manage this thing.  i am from the old school you know. ha ha.
