  • Something funny (and a little scary) happened to me tonight.....I am trying to help out the starving Choice Bookers (my brother claims he's on his last belt notch) by cooking a little for them.....anyway I thought I would make meatloaf for them so I mixed it up and had the oven all preheated and proceeded to put the meatloaf in the oven (or so I thought)....an hour and a half later I went to get the meatloaf out of the oven and surprise surprise it wasn't there...I took a second look (like I thought it was going to reappear) .....still no meat loaf....I proceeded to open the refrigerator door and tada....it was sitting ever so nicely on the lower shelf.....what am I going to be like in 20 years.  KFC saved the day.

Life has been giving us some curve balls lately.....the trusty (sometimes un trusty neon) is now sitting in a junkyard somewhere in the Bronx....I never even got to say good-bye....I am a very sentimental person (for real).  At least my husband and the starving Choice Bookers are still alive to tell us about that Yankees game.  One blessing.....we now are the proud owners of a minivan.....I love it.

Josh, Jackson and I are all trying to get over some kind of a summer cold....most miserable.  It seems we are on the mend......

I will try to post some pictures in the near future....my dear husband worked on the computer a couple of months ago and now I can't seem to find my pictures.

    It's all about Jesus!

  • And here I thought you were going to say someone stole the meat out of the oven.

That is cool you got a minivan, our car quit right before the baby, and we looked at them, but I rebeled against the idea.  I kept telling Zeb, "I am just a kid."  Now that I have had my baby i see how much a minivan could come in handy.  So I'm pretty sure that will be our next vehicle.

  • That's what happens when you have a little one running around to distract you. I know the feeling and according to my mom it only gets worse with time. Good luck with that.

  • He He....that meatloaf story was funny!  Is your sense of smell leaving you too??

  • Hi, Tonya! I used to be your penpal! Maybe about 20 years ago. I think we hit it off one time at the Midwest meetings in northern IN and exchanged addresses. Or maybe it was from writing in the Pen Partners. Anyway, now it seems like I can barely keep in touch with those close to me, and I used to have a bunch of pen pals!!! Life moves on...and gets busier! Take care.
